12 green peppers  1 quart vinegar 1 tablespoon pickling spices
12 red peppers 3 lbs. sugar 1 tablespoon ground cloves
6 onions 1/4 cup salt 1 tablespoon cinnamon
24 green tomatoes    

 Grind peppers, onions and tomatoes.  Sprinkle with 1/4 cup salt.  Scald and let stand until cool enough to stick hand in.  Drain.

Boil the vinegar and sugar (3 lbs. is about 6 3/4 cups).  Add pepper mixture.  Add spices tied in a cheesecloth bag. Cook 15 minutes.  Easy to burn.  Remove cheescloth bag. Can.
