Cultivator vessels are subject to whiting trip limits set under Amendment 12.  Here are your bycatch limits:
  • Catches of herring, longhorn sculpin, squid (both loligo and illex) butterfish, mackerel, dogfish, and red hake are allowed.  But each is limited to 10% of the total weight of fish on board.
  • You can also land monkfish and monkfish "parts" - up to 10% of all other species on board, OR up to 50 pounds of tails per trip.
  • Lobsters are allowed too: up to 10% of the weight of all species on board, or 200 lobsters, whichever is less.
